With the holidays fast approaching, we're reminded of the many things we have to be thankful for as an organization. On of the things we're most grateful is the fact that we can provide our services to clients regardless of their ability to pay - something we're able to do because of the support we receive from individuals adn businesses in the communities we serve.
We especially count on the generosity of supporters to help us gather various necessities for our clients throughout the year. If you would like to help Coleman clients this season, here are a few ideas:
Clothing - There is a special need for a size 3x women's winter coat and a size M boys coat. Hats, gloves, scarf sets for winter time. Men and women's underwear, socks, and sweatpants for those in need in all counties (size L or larger).
Household items - Sheets, towels, washcloths, blankets, and dishtowels. Cleaning supplies for home and laundry are also needed.
Care packages/hygiene needs - These are for people who are homeless (or nearly so) in our crisis residential locations or our residential areas. Items such as toothpaste, soap, deodorant, cologne, lotions, burshes, shaving kits, and beard trimmers are needed alson with all types of toiletries.
Furniture - Child size table and chairs needed, as well as a crib. Clothing racks, 8 person dining tables, and an outside storage shed would be much appreciated.
Transporation bus vouchers/bus passes - To assist clients in getting to their appointments, interviews, grocery store, etc. Gas cards and bus passes are ongoing and important needs.
Exercise equipment and/or games - Wii games, exercise stretch bands, and 2 X-box with Kinect bundles are needed for Adult Day Services. Movies for Crisis Residential are desired, and therapeutic board games are needed for Child and Adolescent Services.
Funds and Gift Certificates - For our clients to see a medical doctor, funds for medications, etc. Items such as prepaid cell phones, Goodwill or other clothing vouchers, and food gift certificates would be of great help.
