Continuum of Care | 5-year annual fund
The Continuum of Care, our Annual Fund, provides the necessary dollars to support the variety of programs established for children, adolescents, older adults and families who benefit from behavioral health services.
CPS services are guided by a recovery philosophy that believes people who receive care have the capacity, capability, strength and motivation to change and grow. Providing stability in mental healthcare services is essential in assisting clients to achieve as much independence as possible.
Working with and encouraging clients to achieve their potential requires ongoing funding. It needs neighbors helping neighbors to improve their lives, not just for one day, but for a lifetime.
Continuum of Care Success Story:
“I feel in control now and I feel better than I can ever remember. I’m so thankful they (Coleman) were here through it all to help.”
– A CPS Client
Feelings of hopelessness would take over her life for days and weeks at a time. The crying would go on for hours and severe depression put her in the hospital under suicide watch. Drinking compounded the challenges making her withdraw from family and friends. She lost custody of her daughter in a divorce. That was several years ago. Today, with the help of Coleman Behavioral Health, she has set attainable goals for her treatment and personal responsibilities. She manages her own finances, continues to attend AA meetings and her treatment program is reduced to a once-a-month maintenance schedule. The most significant change in her destiny is a good relationship with her grown daughter.
