Grants to Community Programs
Coleman Foundation awards grants to community organizations whose mission supports or enhances the mission of Coleman Foundation and Coleman Professional Services by providing opportunities, advocacy, leadership or service to persons suffering with mental illness.
Previous grants include:
- A significant grant to the Portage County Suicide Prevention Coalition which seeks to prevent suicide among all age groups and to reduce the stigma surrounding suicide.
- A grant to the Employment Services Support Group to promote job retention by persons with disabilities and to encourage others with disabilities return to the workplace.
- Multiple grants to support the Portage County Chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), which is an organization committed to eradicating mental illness and to improving the quality of life for those who are impacted by it.
- Various grants to Mental Health and Recovery Boards in Northeast Ohio to help educate the community on the need for behavioral health treatment and recovery.
