Endowment Funds
Endowment funds are an important financial resource for Coleman Foundation. They provide assistance for people with mental and behavioral health problems. Some are designed to help in a specific area such as suicide prevention, others, such as the Peterson Endowment, address more general need for behavioral health services. All of the endowments need contributions to build the fund to reach its target funding level. Contributions in any amount can be directed to any of these funds.
All Coleman Foundation endowment funds retain the principal contributions in investments that conform to the investment policy approved by the Board of Trustees. The spending policy allows for approximately five percent of the value of each fund to be used annually for the targeted needs of the endowment.
